Fencing Sparks Excitement at Heritage Oak Elementary – June 5

June 5, 2025

On June 5, the All Star Outreach Foundation brought the art and discipline of fencing to the students of Heritage Oak Private School. The special introductory session offered elementary students an engaging glimpse into this Olympic sport known for its rich history and focus on focus, agility, and respect.

The event began with a lively introduction to the fundamentals of fencing — including its three weapon types and basic rules. Students learned that fencing is more than just swordplay; it’s a mental and physical challenge that encourages quick thinking, precision, and sportsmanship.

Following the introduction, our experienced fencers gave a live demonstration, showcasing stances, footwork, and bouts in full gear. The students watched with wide eyes as blades moved with speed and control, igniting curiosity and excitement.

To close the session, students asked thoughtful questions, showing great enthusiasm about the sport. From how to join classes to what it feels like to wear the gear, the Q&A sparked conversations that may lead to future young fencers in the community.

We are honored to share our passion for fencing with the next generation and look forward to future outreach events that connect character-building sports with education.
