About Us

Fencing spirit meets education, character, and inclusion

We uniquely blend fencing with education and values, empowering youth with life skills, discipline, and community connection.

Our founders

We are a team of student athletes who came together by our shared passion for fencing and a commitment to making this sport more known throughout southern California. Lead by 4 founders, Nathan, Mila, Amy, and Brayden, our nonprofit aims to introduce fencing to both privileged and underserved communities. We believe fencing teaches discipline, confidence, and resilience, skills that every person should develop. Through fundraising and sales profits, we strive to create events and provide opportunities for others and to help expand the reach of fencing.

Nathan Munguia

I am currently a student at Sage Hill High School. I participate in the school orchestra and currently serve as the Second Chair Cellist. Aside from cello, I enjoy playing piano. As a child, I built and experimented with many computers, even having a small local computer building service. I’ve been interested in technology for many years, which led me to take on the role of Technology Lead.

My main goal with this organization is to build a larger fencing community and encourage more schools to offer it as an in-school sport. I’m passionate about using fencing to bring people together and create opportunities for students who otherwise might not have access to the sport.

Although fencing is one of the original Olympic sports, it still does not receive much recognition, and I hope to increase the popularity of the sport through events that we can host.

I’m Amy, a cofounder of the All-Star Outreach Foundation and the head of the legal team. I helped create this organization to spread the love of fencing and create opportunities for students to grow through sport and leadership.

As a high school student, I am dedicated to promoting the discovery of fencing within the student body. I have been fencing since 2021 and have competed in many different competitions all over the US. I was born in 2010 and am currently enrolled in Crean Lutheran High School.

Some of my hobbies are reading and writing, photography, art, and mentoring younger students. I have a wild imagination and have a passion for literature. Oftentimes, my subconscious creates cinematic, intricate dreams that I share with my friends to elicit a laugh. I love making people happy and talking to others. If you ever see me, make sure to stop by and say hi!

Hi, I’m Mila, one of the co-founders of the All-Star Outreach Foundation and head of the design team. Currently, I am attending Sage Hill School. I was born in 2009 and began my fencing journey in 2019. Along with fencing, I also enjoy making art, crocheting, playing violin, and playing badminton.

With my team, I aspire to encourage others to pick up fencing and sports in general, not only for their physical health but for their mental health as well. It’s not just about fencing either; I find that having something that you are truly passionate about can really change your life for the better. I value creativity, teamwork, discipline, and good work ethic. While I am not too organized myself, I view it as an incredibly important skill to have.

I think there is an opportunity to grow in everything we do, and I hope that with this venture, I can grow more as a person.

Hey, my name is Brayden. I have been doing fencing for around six years now; and I have attended over 50 competitions around the nation.  I really like this sport as it has helped me learn discipline and focus. As the youngest co-founder and business manager of the All Star Outreach Foundation, I am relatively immature.

Fencing has a relatively small media reach, but our foundation is here to fix that by hosting events and explaining fencing at different schools. Our foundation specializes in spreading the love and awareness of fencing.

Some of my strengths include good teamwork, good speaking, and optimism. One of my weaknesses is being immature because, well, I am. I am still trying to work on being more grounded. Some of my hobbies include being in nature, reading, writing, and playing cello. As I said before, I am very social, so if you ever have a question, feel free to ask!
