On December 27th to January 5th, the fencing camp created by a collaboration between the Asor Foundation and La Fencing Academy of Pomona hosted an amazing team based in Shandong, China. With them, a renowned Korean coach led the students, sharing his expertise and decades of experience while two of his own pupils sparred with the students, providing opportunities for elevated practice and learning.
This was an excellent chance for both new and experienced fencers to gain insight from skilled fencers and coaches, fostering a deeper appreciation of the sport and spreading knowledge within the community. Throughout the camp, participants were able to connect because of their shared passion and are able carry a newfound confidence, inspiration, and appreciation forward into their fencing journey.
