Nathan recently competed at the Junior World Cup in Senegal, where he earned an impressive silver medal and proudly represented both his training and his values as an athlete. Beyond the competition, he had the meaningful opportunity to speak with the leader of the Senegal Fencing Federation about the future of the sport in the region. Through our organization, we are passionate about expanding access to fencing, especially in developing countries where many children lack the opportunity to participate due to the high cost of equipment and the financial burden of traveling for competitions. Nathan discussed potential ways we can collaborate to introduce fencing to more youth in Senegal, creating pathways for access, mentorship, and support. By working together, we hope to help break financial barriers and spread the sport of fencing to communities that deserve the same opportunities to grow, compete, and thrive.
